The Corrosive Challenge Blog is currently having a Design Team Call, and they provided an amazing sketch by Kathy Curry for us to use.

My card features the adorable Angel Donita stamp from Digital Delights and Echo Park's Winter Wishes DP.  Louby Loo of Digital Delights is giving this adorable Angel out for FREE for anyone who would like to create a card for Sandy Hook Elementary.

Angel Donita was colored with Copic Markers and Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen.  Here's a closer look at Donita that shows the shimmer a little bit more.

 Copic Markers:  E000, E00, E02, R02, B000, B00, B02, B04, GH70, 0, E19, E17, E07 & E15

A look at the inside.

The sentiment is from Paper Makeup Stamps called Deuteronomy 31:6, and it is available as a Digital and Red Rubber Stamp.

Now for the lovely sketch ...
This card along with a box of FUN Goodies went in the mail today for the Drawn Together Fundraiser.

If you are interested in being part of this Fundraiser, contact Amber thru her blog in the link listed above.

... Mrs. Claus ...

Good morning, and Happy Friday.  My blog has been very quite this week as I finished putting together the gifts for Katie's education team of 8, and 2 bus drivers.  Once that was done it was time to finish my holiday shopping and start wrapping those gifts. I'm normally done with everything by now, but Christmas snuck up on me this year and I got a late start so not much time to craft lately.  Hope to get some coloring in tonight as I watch X Factor.

Speaking of crafting, there is NEW Fabulous Freebie Friday in our Sassy Studio Designs Group over at Paper Craft Planet. Every Friday at 8:00 AM EST a new discussion is opened in our SSD Group. With those discussions comes a NEW FREE image along with a Challenge. The image is only available for 24-hrs!!!

This week our Challenge is "Anything Goes", and the FREE image is ...
 Mrs. Claus!

I created a Gift Tag with Mrs. Claus, and then attached the tag to this Pillow Box that was stamped with this FUN sentiment from Neat & Tangled's Santa Notes stamp set.

Here's a closer look at Mrs. Claus ...

She was colored with Copic Markers, Gelly Roll Pens (Silver/Gold/Clear Star), and fussy cut out.  I cut out the tag and snowflake die, tied on some twine, then layered the snowflake and Mrs. Claus on the tag.  Final step was to add Frosted Lace Stickles to Mrs. Claus' outfit.

The rest of the Sassy Designers created some amazing projects with "Mrs. Claus", so come on over to the SSD Group, grab your FREE image, and join in the FUN for a chance to win some Sassy Studio Designs Stamps of your choice! Remember that she is only available for 24-hrs.

I am entering my Gift Tag to Sentiment Sundays Challenge #133, X-mas Tags.

Wishing each of you a happy and healthy holiday season!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Winter Fun ...

Good morning! It's Monday, and there is only 1-wk until Santa arrives! I am soooo NOT ready for this!  Between working on my holiday cards, design team work and gifts for Katie's educational team and bus drivers, I have fallen behind in getting my shopping done. Thankfully, Katie still has school until Thursday so I have a couple more days to run around and finish up.  Enough of that! :)

I have a new Love to Create Challenge to share with you today.  Challenge #46  is sponsored by QKR Stampede and Dearie Dolls Digi Stamps, and this weeks Theme is "Winter FUN".

My first card features the adorable Cross Country Skiing Digi7105 Stamp from QKR Stampede.  I colored the Penguin with my Copic Markers, and fussy cut him out.  The background is a recycled holiday card I got last year that I layered on some foil DP, and Neenah Solar White cardstock.  Quick and easy card.

My second card features this lovely Winter Scene Digi-Stamp by Dearie Dolls!  I printed two of these lovely, colored one with my Copic Markers, cut them out, layered them on the second copy that I applied various distress inks to, added the blue mat, and the final touch was to apply my stickles. Final step was to add my matted Winter Scene to the background, and apply some Want2Scrap Pearls.

For a chance to win some awesome Prizes, link up your "Winter FUN" project at Love to Create Challenge Blog. Don't forget to check out what the other talented ladies created while you're there.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

We are in Week 2 of our Embellishments Challenge ... use three (3) different embellishments on your project.

the FREE image this week is called "Hanging the Wreath"

After coloring my stamp with Copic Markers, she was fussy cut out.  I pulled out this House Shaped Card that I picked up over the Summer from The Paper Cut Co.  I layered some cream colored cardstock of the card, applied some Brown Washi Tape for the roof, added Icicle Stickles to the roof to represent snow, and some hanging lights stickers.  Once this was done I made the door with a yellow brad for the door knob, added a white window, attached the Sassy lady Hanging the Wreath, and then applied some X-mas Red Stickles to the Wreath.

First up is QKR Stampede Challenge #18 ... Snowmen, Snow Angels, Snowballs, Snow Fun.  That's a lot of "Snow". LOL!  We look forward to seeing your project featuring "Snow".

For my card I chose this adorable Christmas Cheer.  This stamp reminds me of Frosty the Snowman dancing down the street. I colored him with my Copic Markers, stamped my sentiment, and popped him on with Glue Dots and 3D Foam Squares.

Christmas Cheer 14210 is available in both Digital and Red Rubber, and you can find them in the store here.

I truly love how this card turned out.  It's one of my favorites of all the cards I sent out this holiday season.

Good evening!  It's time for Taylored Expressions Monthly Calendar Challenge ~ December.  This is the final Calendar for the year.  I had a great time making these calendars, and I'm sure my friend is going to love her Christmas Gift. Now to send it off in the mail. :)

I decorated this month with Leave a Lasting Impression stamp set by Taylored Expressions.  This is a lovely set, and I made some holiday cards with the set.

The calendar was layered on A Muse Studio cardstock, and The Twinery Twine was used to separate my scene from the calendar days using Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Here is a Collage of all the Calendars I created, and uploaded ...

The calendar I used is Taylored Expressions 6 x 6 2013 Digital set.

I simply adore the Christmas Gift Mindy, and kept seeing her in my head as part of a gift tag.  She was colored with Copic Markers and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen, which I fussy cut out, and then applied Frosted Lace & Goldenrod Stickles.

The background of my tag contains K&Company DP, Winterland Tree Die, and Bling on a Roll, and the final piece is the ribbon and some left over decorative ornament stickers.

... 2013 Mini Calendar ...

This is my 3rd post tonight,
please scroll down for my TE Calendar & Designed 2 Delight Challenge posts.

****************************

I saw this adorable 2013 Mini Desk Calendar created by Liz using SRM Stickers last month on the SRM Stickers Blog, and knew I had to make some.  I was really happy to find the Mini Calendar Stickers at my local Archiver's.  I've only completed one so far, but I will be making more to go with the journals I'm making for Katie's teacher's, and the teacher assistants this year for Christmas.

The outside DP, and colors used match the journal I created which you can see HERE.

The stickers on the cover are from my Creative Memories stash since I didn't find the 2013 SRM Stickers at Archiver's.

I used my Nestabilities Dies to cut out the base, layered the Mini Calendar Stickers on white cardstock, added some Washi Tape along the top, and then put the whole set together with my binding machine.

Now that the first set is done I have at least 5 more to make before the 19th.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

***************************

This adorable image is called Balloon Bouquet, and is the November stamp for Designed 2 Delight Free Stamp of the Month Challenge.  I finished early this month so I won't miss out on the next stamp.

I colored this adorable image with my Copic Markers, applied Festive Berries Distress Ink around the edges, then layered the image on some fun Happy Day DP by My Mind's Eye.  The sentiment is an oldie from Stampin Up that I got from a dear friend.

If you haven't participated in D2D Free Stamp of the Month Challenge, you can still buy the image to play along, and then you'll get the next image for FREE.  Just follow the link for all the details.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... TE Calendar Challenge ~ November ...

I finally finished coloring my Calendar for Taylored Expressions November Calendar Challenge. Yahoo!  I even picked up an Easel Stand from Hobby Lobby that will be part of the gift when I send off the completed 2013 Calendar to my girlfriend.

For this month I used Lawn Fawn's Harvest Season stamp set, and colored the image with my Copic Markers.

The calendar was layered on A Muse Studio cardstock, and The Twinery Twine was used to separate my scene from the calendar days using Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

The calendar is Taylored Expressions 6 x 6 2013 Digital set.

... Thank You ...

Good evening! Today has been pretty awesome! After getting ready for dinner guest(s) tonight I popped into my craft room to make a set of cards based on CAS[E] this Sketch #8.  When I saw the sketch I knew it was perfect to finish off the Teacher Gift I made this year.

I made a set of 6 cards, size 3-1/2" x 5",

and stamped the outside of the envelope to match the design.

The ink used for the cards match the DP on the outside of the portfolio I made.  The picture below shows the Thank You cards and envelopes inside the portfolio.

Here is the sketch that was provided this week ...

I will be making at least 3-more of these portfolio's for Katie's Teacher Assistants.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

I was short on a couple cards for this year so I pulled out my Cas-ual Fridays "Merry Kiss-mass" stamp set.  I wanted to create some quick & easy cards for mass production, and these stamps are just perfect for CAS projects.

My colors are based on the current Play Date Cafe Challenge #159 ~ Color Splash!

I'm entering this card for the following challenges ...

I'm over on the QKR Stampede Blog today sharing this holiday card.

I used the adorable Nightime Bear Digi14401.  Colored him with Copic Markers, Gelly Roll Pens, and a Silver Pen.  The background was created with Little Yellow Bicycle Once Upon a Christmas DP, Winterland Tree Die by Memory Box, Washi Tape, and the step I cut out from scrap cardstock. The sentiment is a Mark Richards Sticker which I loved when I saw and bought it.  I'm rethinking that first impression.  The sticker was very hard to get off the backing, and I destroyed one in the process.

You can find Nightime Bear in Digital and Red Rubber format in the QKR Store here.

I'm entering this card for the My Craft Spot Challenge #78 ~ Merry Christmas.

... Have a Holly Jolly Christmas ...

Good morning.  November has come and is almost over, and Christmas is truly right around the corner.  Today's Dare to Be Sassy Thursday Challenge #153 is perfect for getting ready for Christmas.  This week we want to see your Christmas Projects, but NO cards.  Yup, we want to see anything but a card from you this week.

I created a Gift Tag / Ornament this week.

The tag / ornament is 4" x 4" in diameter.

Featuring the lovely Ellie the Elf who was colored with Copics, and fussy cut out.  The background was created using Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs Die and DCWV's Christmas Combo DP and Tradewinds Glittered DP.  The snow globe was created with Memory Box Design Adhesives and Rub on Foil, and Snowflake Dimensional Stickers.  Solids colors were used for the back, and 1/8" green ribbon was weaved thru the holes to create the hanger.

The sentiment is from Cas-ual Friday's Merry Kiss-mas stamp set.

I had a fun creating this project. Well to be truthful using the Doily Motifs Die was a PITA.  The DP didn't want to come out of the die ... it actually ripped so I started all over again.  After I was done with my project I heard that when you use intricate dies you need to add wax paper between the die and your paper.  It makes getting the cardstock out easier.  Haven't tried this yet, but I will next time.

For more inspirational projects head on over to the SSD Blog to check out what the other Designers created.  They will amaze you, as they did me when I saw them!!

Next week I'm going to be joining Regan over in our SSD Group at Paper Craft Planet for the Fabulous Freebie Friday Challenges, and you will have another awesome group of Designers providing inspiration for our weekly DTBST Challenges.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Good morning!  Hope that you had a great Thanksgiving weekend, and you made it through Black Friday safely.  Now that Black Friday is over, it's time for Cyber Monday sales!  Me, I did all my Cyber purchases on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

It's not only Cyber Monday today, but it's also time for a new Love to Create Challenge.

Challenge #43

This week's Theme is Non-traditional Holiday Colors.

I chose to use these adorable Cozy Little Chickadees from Meljen's Designs.  Colored them with Copic Markers, applied distress ink around the edges, added stickles for the snow on the branches and layered it on my background.  Final step was to add the SRM Sticker sentiment.

I based my design on this old Clean & Simple sketch [FTL210] ...

I would love to see your "Non-traditional Holiday Colors" project this week.  All of the details for the Challenge can be found on the Love to Create Challenge Blog.  While you're there check out the amazing projects created by the other designers.

There is a NEW Challenge Blog and it's called Little Tangles, the Neat & Tangled Challenge Blog.  I have several Neat & Tangled Stamps so I thought I would give it a try. :o)

Since I was planning to send a note off to my friend Donna on the other side of town, I pulled out a 4bar Notecard to decorate.  I use one of the sentiments from "Just Hello" stamp set, and the sparkles / stars from "Elves at Work" stamp set.  Once I finished with my stamping I scored along the bottom of the sentiment and along the top.

Very CAS card, perfect for sending off a quick note to my friend.  Donna is one busy lady so I try not to call her to often, and tend to send off a note just to let her know I'm thinking of her.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

The challenge here was to create a Winter Blues themed card with stamps you would normally associate with greens and reds.  The answer was to only use sentiments.  My design is based on Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #62.  I inked up 2 of the sentiments from the set with Paris Dusk ink from Memento, add in some DP and shear ribbon, and it all came together nicely.

Here is the sketch for your reference ...

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Holiday Wishes ...

Happy Black Friday!  Hope you had a great time with friends & family over Thanksgiving, and you got the BF Deals you were looking for.  Me, I stayed home and picked up some goodies on-line, and then played in my craft room this afternoon.  I made two holiday cards, and one friendship card.  So this is the first of three posts.

My design is based on the Unity KOTM November Sketch, and the Winter Blues Theme from CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #79.

Updated 11/28/12 to provide clarification on the background layer, snowflake, and twine.  They are all Navy Blue.  It may look black in the picture, but truly it is Navy Blue.

Unity KOTM October 2012 stamps were inked up with Memento Summer Sky & Paris Dusk ink.  After stamping the design on Neenah Solar White cardstock, I layered it on a Navy background, added the Snowflake Die and Navy Twine.

I am entering this holiday card to the following challenges ...

Until next time ... Enjoy!
