Sassy Celebration Blog Hop ...

Good morning & Welcome to the Sassy Celebration Blog Hop! This month is Sassy Studio Designs 4-Yr Anniversary! That's right SSD is 4-Yrs Old this month! Lindsay has re-vamped some of her original images, and I can say they are absolutely amazing!

If you arrived at my Blog from my very talented Sassy Sister Sara, then you are in the right place. However, if you just arrived please make sure you Hop on over to the Sassy Studio Designs Blog for a complete list of today's participants.

In honor of this years Celebration, each of the Sassy Designers have created a project based on an Anniversary Year ... using Modern or Traditional Gifts for their project. So let's get to it ...

Allow me to re-introduce you to Sassy Bubblegum!

Sassy Bubblegum was colored with my Copic Markers, fussy cut out, and popped on to my design. She is surrounded by white pearls, which I'm calling bubblegum (i.e. candy). She's standing in front of a wooden fence, and wearing her favorite color purple (i.e. amethyst).

Here's a closer look at Sassy Bubblegum ...

Copics: E000, E00, E21, E11, R21, R27, B02, E31, E35, E37, E39, V12, V15, V17,
BV00, R01, BV20, BV23, BV25, BV29, E15, E17, G000, G00

I'm sure you're wondering about the purple panel on the inside of my card (sample shown below).

I used the Papertry Ink Zipper Border Die to hide a message underneath it. All the recipient has to do is pull the zipper open to reveal a big surprise.

Now there are PRIZES to be had today! So I've left some hints in my post, and all you have to do is leave a comment and guess the CORRECT Anniversary Year I used for my project.

You're next stop today is Michelle, so Hop on over to Michelle's Blog to be amazed.

Remember to leave a comment below before you HOP ON, and then make sure you stop by the Sassy Studio Designs Blog today. You will find out how you can WIN some more of the Sassy images being released in the Sassy Studio Designs Store today.

Thank you for taking the time to Hop with us today! I hope you have a marvelous weekend!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Flower Bouquet ...

Good morning & Happy Friday all! I'm super excited to be taking my first Copic Certification class today, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's class also. FUN times!!!

Friday also means that a NEW QKR Stampede Challenge starts today. It also means the end of the current Design Team term, and my last post as a QKR Designer. It has been an amazing year, and I've met some amazing designers and made some awesome friends for life. I plan to continue following the QKR Designers and I'm looking forward to seeing what the NEW Designers bring to the table! Now for the Challenge ...

(free for all ... create any type of project this week)

Earlier this week I shared how I mass-produced a set of cards. Well for today's project I did the same thing using the lovely Flower Bouquet (digi23803). There are two (2) slightly different layouts, and they are being shipped off to Operation Write Home (OWH) on July 1st.

I need to say a big Thank You to Maribeth for welcoming me to the QKR Design Team, and for giving me the opportunity to work with all the fabulous images available in the QKR Stampede Store.

I look forward to seeing your creations this week, so please share them with us at the QKR Stampede Blog.

Tag Sale ...

(create a tag or add a tag to your project)

For today's challenge I created a Gift Tag for my niece's Sweet 16 Birthday using the lovely Tinkerbell Honey. She was colored with Copic Markers, a Clear Star Pen for her wings, and cut out and put on the side. The Tag, grass and fresh foliage are all dies that I have. Once these were put together I weaved Tinkerbell thru the foliage, and added the ribbon.

Well today is my last day sharing the Dare to Be Sassy Thursday Challenges with you. We switch teams on July 1st, and I'm heading to the Sponsorship Challenges for the next 3-months.

Remember to check out the Release Sneak Peak(s) over at the Sassy Studio Designs Blog, and leave your guess for a chance to WIN some NEW Sassy Images!  While you're there check out the amazing creations by the other Sassy Designers, and then join in the FUN by sharing your Tag  for a chance to WIN some Sassy Images of your own!

Don't forget to come back on Saturday, June 29th, for our Release Blog Hop!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

The Fun Starts Here ...

Good morning! I'm over on the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today sharing a Clean & Simple card that I created using the Fun Starts Here stamp set.

Copics: E000, E01, E95, N0, N3, N5, BV29, B24, B26, B28, E35, RV00, RV10, RV13

When it came time to create my project for today, I remembered being inspired by the current Clean & Simple Sketch #246 that I saw over the weekend. So I pulled out all of my stamps and decided to use the Fun Starts Here!

To start off I stamped the sweet little girl with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with my Copic Markers, and then I used a White Gelly Roll Pen to add the dots to her dress. I made a mask of the girl with a post-it note to cover her up while working with the sentiments. Before I stamped the sentiments I laid them out on my layout, and moved them around until I liked the line-up, that included cutting one of the sentiments. Leaving the sentiments on my layout I put a block on them, inked it up, and wallah the sentiments are perfectly aligned where I wanted them. I used 6 of the 8 sentiments that come in this adorable stamp set.

Here is the FUN Sketch that inspired today's card ...

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps we have to offer.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Sweet thoughts of you ...

Good morning! Summer is officially hear in Northern Illinois. That means warmer weather and a lot of Summer thunderstorms that just pop out of nowhere. On a sad note. My heart, thoughts & prayers go out to all of those that are affected by the floods in Canada!!!

My post is a bit on the long side today, so thank you for staying with me.

*************************

(create a project that incorporates colors from this lovely photo)

Our Sponsors this week are StampArt Design by Kathryne & A Day for Daisies

Colors used: Cream (cardstock), Green, Greyish Purple

The adorable girl I used is called Lulu from StampArt Design by Kathryne. I thought this beauty along with the Sentiments that you get with her would be perfect to design some cards for Operation Write Home (OWH). So I did what I normally do when I plan to mass-produce an image. I colored Lulu with my Copic Markers, scanned her into my computer in full color, and then printed out a dozen colored Lulu's and cut her out.

For the Sentiments I created bubbles in Microsoft Word and added the Sentiments inside, then printed six (6) of each Sentiment on Papertry Ink Vintage Cream cardstock.

Here are some pictures of each set of cards.

Each card is slightly different from the other, and I truly LOVE how they turned out. So CAS and beautiful! These cards will be shipped off to OWH along with many others on July 1st.

Now I encourage you to hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check out what the other Designers created to inspire you this week! All I can say is "Amazing"!!!

I can't wait to see what you create with these colors!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Summertime ...

(create a FUN Summertime project)

Our Sponsor for this Fortnight is Inky Impressions

Inky Impressions provided the Design Team with two images for this weeks challenge. I worked with Summer Fun Owl. He looks likes he's having so much FUN playing with the ball. I colored the image with two different mediums. We have Copic Markers for the owl, ball, house, tree, and fence, and Pebbles Inc. Classic Chalks for the grass, sky and sun. This was my first time using chalks to color, and I found it different but interesting.

This is my last project as a Designer for The Corrosive Challenge Blog! I want to thank Regan, and all of the Designers for welcoming me to the Design Team earlier this year. I've truly enjoyed working with this amazing group of Designers, and plan to keep following The Corrosive Challenge Blog to see all of their amazing creations!

I look forward to seeing your Summertime creations this fortnight over at The Corrosive Challenge Blog.

Summer Fun ...

Good morning & Happy Friday all! It's been an awesome week, but I'm ready for the weekend and me time! There is a NEW QKR Stampede Challenge that starts today, and it's all about Summer Fun!

(create a project that is all about having some Summer FUN)

What could me more FUN that watching some adorable Dancing Lady Bugs (digi87702)! These guys are so  adorable that I just had to use this image for this weeks challenge. I wanted to create a 3D card so I printed 3 copies of the stamp, and colored each area separately ... the lady bugs, flower, and stem/leaves. For the bottom layer (stem/leaves) I applied Distress Ink around the edges, layered it onto my design, and then attached the flower and lady bugs with a combination of Mini Glue Dots & 3D Foam Squares.

This weeks card is based on a Freshly Made Sketch (#68).

I look forward to seeing your Summer FUN creations over at the QKR Stampede Blog!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Hello ...

(create a Clean and Simple card this week)

I printed up the NEW Princess Ariel Pinup from last months Make A Wish Collection Release! This beauty was colored with my Copic Markers and a Spica Clear Pen to add a bit of shimmer to the shear part of her outfit. Once complete, she was cut out and attached to the background. The stitching comes from the SRM Sticker Stitches Black (58003) collection. I know that I never would have been able to get them so evening sized and spaced by hand. LOVE these!!! The embossed background and sentiment is from Papertry Ink. Final step was to add the clear rhinestones!

I really love this weeks Challenge, and how my card turned out!

I can't wait see your Clean & Simple creations, so please share them with us over at the Sassy Studio Design Blog!

Wine & Bread Anyone ...

Good morning! I'm over on the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today sharing the card that I created using the awesome NEW Ooh La La stamp set.

I created the background with Chalk Pigment Ink and one of the elements available in the set.  I decided to use the wine bottle, wine glass, and the bread as the focal point of my card. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored, and layered on my design. Once done I used a Memory Box Jasmine Frame Die to frame my scene, and added some pearls to the flowers. Last step was to add Glossy Accents to the Wine Bottle & Glasses.

Here's a closer look at the scene I created ...

I don't want to leave the bottom section empty so I need to add a sentiment, but I'm just not sure which one to use ... there are so many to choose from. Bon Appetit, Bonjour, Merci, Voila ... it's so hard to choose.

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps we have to offer.

I'm submitting today's card to the Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe Challenge #38, Anything Goes. The only Chalk I have is Studio G Chalk Pigment Ink so I hope that qualifies for the challenge. If not, thank you for looking!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Say Cheese! ...

Good morning! For those of you in the US I hope you had a marvelous Father's Day weekend! We had a busy and FUN weekend, and I'm looking forward to a FUN week! Katie's starts camp today for 3-days a week, and I'm looking forward to having some of my crafting time back. Speaking of crafting, I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you today.

(paper-piece a part of the image that you use on your project)

Our Sponsors this week are The Stamping Chef & Di's Digi Stamps

I chose to use the Sexy Say Cheese digi-stamp from The Stamping Chef. Her her hair and skin were colored with Copic Markers, and then I paper pieced her clothes and the camera. Once she was put together, I popped her in a Polaroid frame, and then used the coordinating Lawn Fawn sentiments.

This card is for my son, Nick, who turns 27 next month. He is and always will be a Star in my eyes!

If you haven't tried "Paper-Piecing" before I would love for you to give it a try. It really is an easy way to color your image! If your intrigued and give this weeks Challenge a try, please share your creation with us over at The Love to Create Challenge Blog.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Dad ...

Good morning! This is the first of two posts today. I hope you come back to visit for Day 2 of the Stamp Annie*Thing Release Blog Hop.

(create a project for Dad)

Today's card was created with my Father-in-Law in mind for Father's Day. I used the super cool Old Car (digi20205). A couple of Copic Markers were used to add some color to the car, varying shade of brown with a pop of red was used for the background, and the final step was to add some black rhinestone and alpha stickers from my stash to write Dad. Now comes the hard part ... finding a sentiment that is perfect for the inside for my Father-in-Law.

My design is based on Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #202.

Good morning! So happy to be back sharing my creations with you after a mini-vacation! This is first of two posts today. I hope you pop back in for the Stamp Annie*Thing Release Blog Hop.

Today's card features the lovely Little Honey Rapunzel. Is she a Princess? I think so! She was locked in the tower and saved by her Prince. This was my first time creating with Rapunzel, and she was so much FUN and challenging to color. Especially her hair!

My design was inspired by Feeling Sketchy Challenge #62.

I created a standard A2 card vs. a square card since this card will be shipped off to Operation Write Home.

Love ...

Sassy Studio Designs
(create a project/card for a Bride, Bridal Shower or an Anniversary)

I used the lovely Victorian Beauty to create this weeks card. I colored the Victorian Beauty with my Copic Markers, added some shimmer with a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen, and then she was cut out and added to the CAS background I created.

Since I only added the "love" sentiment to the cover this card can be used for a Wedding or Bridal Shower.

My post is short & sweet today! Hope you all have a marvelous day, and share your "June Bride" projects with us over at the Sassy Studio Designs Blog this week.

You make me smile ...

Good morning! I'm over on the Stamp Annie*Thing Blog today sharing this adorable card that I created using the awesome Here's the Dirt stamp set.

This little girl is so adorable, and so much FUN to create with! I colored her hair and skin, and the tree and dirt with my Copic Markers, and then paper-pieced her clothes with Design Paper.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment.

Today's card was created using the Sketch for You to Try [SFYTT] Challenge #1. I told you yesterday that I was happy that Jen started up the SFYTT Challenges again. Proof positive that I LOVE Jen's Sketches! :o)

I hope you are inspired by today's project to head on over to Stamp Annie*Thing Store to check out all of the amazing stamps we have to offer.

Best Dad Ever ...

Good morning! School is out for the Summer for Katie so I'll be hanging with her for the next 2-weeks until camp starts for her. This week I also have my Grand-dog Winston Boxador visiting as the kids are on vacation. Not a lot of time to craft, but we are having FUN!

I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you for this week, and it's all about the Guy's!

(create a project for Father's Day or a Special Guy)

Our Sponsor this week is Stamp Fairy

My card features the Golfer that is part of the Lenny's Father's Day Set. He was colored with Copic Markers and I used a pearl to represent the golf ball.

I finished the inside with a Sentiment from a recent Unity KOTM. My layering is not straight this time around as I had Katie and Winston underfoot as I was finishing this card. LOL! It works and my hubby will love the imperfections as this card is coming from Katie.

The design for today's creation is based on the Sketch for You to Try [SFYTT] Challenge #1. Yup, it's BACK! So happy that Jen decided to bring back the SFYTT Challenges. It's now a part of Reverse Confetti, which is Jen's new Stamp Company.

With Father's Day right around the corner I'm sure that you are creating some amazing projects for those Special Guys in your life. So why not share them with us over at the Love to Create Challenge Blog this week. Would love to see them!

Until next time ... Enjoy!
