Halloween Treat Bags ...

Good morning! I have a batch of Halloween Treat Bags to share using the Stamp Annie*Thing Best Witches stamp set.

First, I wanted to share that in our neighborhood we always have Trick-or-Treating the Sunday before Halloween so that the kids can trick-or-treat during the daytime hours. No evening doorbells being run here. Thankfully! That being said, even though we had like 200 kids come by I still have a TON of candy! So I decided to make NEW Treat Bags for my daughter's classroom - 9 in all!

I started with these bag I bought years ago at Hobby Lobby, which I just found this weekend, and filled them up with candy. I like these because they have a zip-lock at the top for closing. I added a line of 1/4" tape to the bag above the zip-lock on the back. This allowed me to line up the bag inside the Clean & Simple (CAS) topper I created.

I pulled out some Black and Orange cardstock, cut to size and scored each piece. Next step was to stamp the sentiment, and the fun black cat and bat, from the Best Witches stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. After folding the cardstock and placing the bag, I used my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to secure the treat bag.

Here is a picture of all 9-bags together ...

I also made 4-more bags for my daughter's teacher and the teacher's aides in her class.

This super cute set is available in the storeand is perfectly perfect for all of your Halloween projects!

At this time I want to say a BIG Thank You to Anne for inviting me to join her Design Team for Stamp Annie*Thing. It has truly been a pleasure working with her stamps.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Copic Markers were used to color the image, and I broke open my Down by the Shore DP for the background. The last step was to add my ribbon before layering my design onto my background.

Mum's Bouquet Tag ...

Good morning. I'm over on the Sweet Stamps Blog today for my Guest Designer Post based on this weeks Sweet Stamps Challenge #140 ~ Tags

Last week I mentioned that I was saving the Corner from the beautiful Mum Bouquet & Corner Duo (1006). Today's Tag features the beautiful Mum Bouquet Corner which I stamped at the top of the tag and then around the edges with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Each image was colored with my Copic Markers, then I used a dauber to apply three different Distress Inks, and distressed the edges. The final step was to add my ribbon.

Hop on over to the Sweet Stamps Blog for all of the details about this weeks Challenge #140, and then share your project for a chance to win a $20.00 Shopping Spree to Sweet Stamps Online Store.

I'll see you next week, same time, same place.

Merry Christmas ...

Good morning and Happy Friday! I'm back with some more inspiration for this months Your Next Stamp FUN Friday Challenge #5.

Today's card features the adorable Jolly Holly Digital Stamp available in the YNS Store under the category YNS Digital Stamps. I love that YNS Digital Stamps are available for immediate download.

I used the October Sketch for this week project. Jolly Holly was colored with my Copic Markers, and once again I paper-pieced part of of stamp. Once I was done coloring I waited a couple days to make sure the ink dried and was stable enough to add some Stickles for the fur and snow. It's been a while since I used them so I was a little upset when the Frosted Lace Stickles I used for Santa's fur bled with the red. I'm going to say that Mrs. Clause goofed when she washed Santa's outfit. Frostyville Corner Die represents the half circles in the sketch, and the sentiment is a SRM Sticker.

Here are a few quick points about the YNS FUN Friday Challenges ...
1. There will be one challenge per month to play along with as many times you like. (Inspirational Photo/Sketch - do one or the other, or both!)
2. Each monthly challenge will start on the First Friday of every month on the YNS Challenge Blog
3. Prizes: You may use any brand of stamps for the challenge to be eligible to win a YNS  $10 gift certificate. However, in order to win a special "YNS Top Pick" badge for your blog, YNS stamps/dies must be the focal point of your card or project.
4. Guest Designer Spot: A monthly YNS Guest Designer will be chosen from the challenge participants, and get to play along with us in NEW RELEASES and also receive a fabulous package of previously released stamps!  FUN!!!
5. All projects must be linked up on the YNS Challenge Blog to be eligible to win.

Bobbing for Apples ...

Good morning! It's time for some inspiration from the From the Heart Stamps Designers. As a Guest Designer I get to join in.

This lovely stamp is called Bobbing for Apples.

Copic Markers, Chalk Pencils, and Distress Inks were used for coloring this lovely image before putting my card together based on the Deconstruction Sketch #123. I substituted apples for circles using Paperty Ink Apple Prints Dies.

Halloween Treat Box ...

Good morning! I have a Halloween Treat Box to share using one of the many images available in the Stamp Annie*Thing Best Witches stamp set.

I don't have a cutting machine so when I saw this cute Mini Take Out Box Die it went in my cart. After cutting out the die with my Cuttlebug, I stamped the cat with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on each panel of the box, added Distress Ink, and then used Scor-Tape to put the box together. The last step was to add the Charcoal Twine for the handle. Super easy!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

What's in your Future ...

Good evening! I'm popping in to share a card I made last week for the Simply Betty Stamps October Fan Page Challenge.

This beauty is called Fortune Teller Betty, and super FUN to color. There were two images to choose from for the October Fan Challenge, and each image had a different challenge. The Challenge for Fortune Teller Betty was to add your favorite crystal accent. For me that would be clear rhinestones. Not sure that would be considered a crystal accent, but I love it.

When I saw the challenge I new what my plans would be for Fortune Teller Betty. I created a 50th Birthday card for my sister-in-law. Since the party was held 1-month before her actual birthday, Fortune Teller Betty was perfect for the card.

Here's a look at the inside of the card ...

My design was inspired by the Seems a Little Sketchy Challenge #50.

I wasn't at the party this weekend, as I had a prior commitment to participate in a Craft Fair. However, my husband did tell me that his sister loved her card.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Mums Bouquet ...

Good morning. I'm over on the Sweet Stamps Blog today for my Guest Designer Post based on this weeks Sweet Stamps Challenge #139 ~ Anything Goes/Center Step Cards. I'm not that good when it comes to making Center Step Cards, so today's project was a struggle for me. Hope you like it!

Today's card features the beautiful Mum Bouquet & Corner Duo (1006). Mums were my mothers favorite flowers so I had to choose this beautiful set. I'm saving the Corners for another project.

Once the Mums were colored with my Copic Markers I used Chalk Pencils to shade the background. I created the Center Step Card with Bazzill Haley. It was a perfect match for the Mums. Add in the decorative die on the sides with some butterflies, and then the sentiment Thinking of You Curly (909C) was stamped on the distressed bottom strip.

Hop on over to the Sweet Stamps Blog for all of the details about this weeks Challenge #139, and then share your project for a chance to win a $20.00 Shopping Spree to Sweet Stamps Online Store.

I'll see you next week, same time, same place.

Treat Purse Teacher Gift Bag ...

Good evening. Tomorrow I'm participating in a Craft Fair that supports the local Special Needs Children/Adults who attend Laremont School in Northern Lake County, IL. When I saw the current CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #118 ~ Tags & Bags, I took pictures of one of the items I made to sell at the Craft Fair.

There is a Technique Lover's Challenge - TLC211 Treat Purse Makeover over on Splitcoast Stampers by Jenn Cochran that I wanted to give a try. I actually made six (6) Treat Purses, but I only took pictures of three (3) to share them with you.

I got a couple of these cool stands from my local Archiver's, which is closing this weekend. Besides discounting the products in the store, they are also selling off all of the fixtures. This is the smaller display stand, the other two (2) are twice the width. They will be perfect for displaying the Treat Purses.

Here's a closer look at one of the purses so that you can see the Gift Tag I made with the cool Apple Prints Stamps & Die Collection by Papertry Ink.

The inside has yummy Werther's Original candy inside.

I changed up the handles on the purse from what was included with the tutorial. The tag was tied on with Maraschino Twine.

I'm committed to donating 20% of my Sales to the School. Wish me luck that the sales are really GOOD! :o)

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Autumn Leaves ...

Good morning and Happy Friday! I'm back with some more inspiration for this months Your Next Stamp FUN Friday Challenge #5.

Today's card features the adorable Autumn Leaves Digital Stamp available in the YNS Store under the category YNS Digital Stamps. I love that YNS Digital Stamps are available for immediate download.

I used the Inspiration Photo for this week project. Autumn Leaves was colored with my Copic Markers, and once again I paper-pieced part of of stamp. My grand-dog Winston is black/white, and he was not far from my thoughts while coloring the adorable puppy in this image. I went with black/grey since I haven't mastered the black/white combo yet. Distress inks were used for the sky background.

Here is a look at the Copic Markers I used ...

Here are a few quick points about the YNS FUN Friday Challenges ...

Bella Blvd Projects ...

Good morning! Back in August Bella Blvd had a Design Team Call, and the requirement was to use 99.9999% Bella Blvd products. So I went to my local Archiver's, which closes in like 4-days, and picked up what little Bella Blvd products they carried and then I bought more on-line and went to work. Seriously, I spent around $75.00 on products for this DT Call.

Now I wasn't chosen to be one of their NEW Designers. I'm okay with not being chosen. It was my first attempt at creating with just paper and no stamps.  :o)

I created five (5) projects, and figured it was time to share them. So here goes ...

Save the Date Wedding Announcement
featuring the Engagement picture of my son and his wife.
(Engaged at Last DP and Chipboard, Polka Dot Combo Designer Tape)

Bachelorette Party Invitation
(Engaged at Last DP and Chipboard, Polka Dot Combo Designer Tape)

Halloween Card
(Trick or Treat DP and Stickers, To Cute to Spook DP and Cute Cuts)

Dear Santa Christmas Card
(Christmas Countdown DP and Stickers, Christmas Wishes DP)

CAS Floral card to say Hi
(Sand & Surf DP and Stickers, Crochet Flowers 270 Dahlia)

Well this is what I created for my Design Team Application. I have to say it was a challenge to not work with stamps, and I truly enjoyed working on each of these projects!

The Bella Blvd product that I purchased hasn't gone to waste. I've been using the Bella Blvd DP, Washi Tape, Stickers, etc. on quite a few projects that I've shared recently.

Here's to having better luck next year!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

VooDoo Dolls Family ...

Good morning! While thinking about today's post for Stamp Annie*Thing an idea popped in my head that features the adorable Stamp Annie*Thing VooDoo Dolls stamp set. This is my first time creating with these adorable Dolls, and it was truly a lot of FUN!

My idea was to create a dysfunctional family with these adorable VooDoo Dolls. Truly reminds me of all the "Craziness" that has happened in the family I grew up in. If I wanted to be true to that, I would have had to make a much bigger card so that it would hold 9 VooDoo Dolls. Seriously, 9 ... I'm the 2nd to the youngest. So "Craziness" was the norm in our house.

Back to my card! Each of the VooDoo Dolls were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink a couple of times. Once on the cardbase, and then extra copies for coloring. They were colored with Copic Markers, cut out and layered over the design on my cardbase. The final step was to add the sentiments along with the buttons in each corner.

I hope you'll take a moment to check out this adorable set over in the store!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

'tis the season ...

Good morning and Happy Friday! I'm super excited to be sharing with you the Your Next Stamp FUN Friday Challenge #5.

My card features the NEW Penny's Poinsettias Digital Stamp available in the YNS Store under the category YNS Digital Stamps. I love that YNS Digital Stamps are available for immediate download.

I used the October Sketch for this weeks project. When I saw Penny's Poinsettias the first thing that came to mind was layers. So I printed out six (6) copies of this gorgeous image and colored each layer of the petals separately with my Copic Markers. Once done, I cut the petal layers out and ran each section thru my Xyron Sticker Maker, and paper-pieced my image together. (This is the best product I have found as a card-maker who loves layering her images.)

Now for a closer look at this beauty stamp ...

Copic Markers: R29, RV29, R39, R89, Y17, G07, G17, G19, G29,
 E93, E95, E97, E99, E19, N0, N3, 0

My Poinsettias look redder and darker in person. The joys of photography.
