Birthday Girl ...

I'm over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog today sharing a card I created with the lovely Birthday Girl from the Marika Collins Collection.

Birthday Girl is one of the new Digital Stamps Released this month, and I had so much FUN coloring this beauty! Copic markers and chalk pencils were used for highlighting her clothes. I added some Distress Ink along the bottom for the floor. For the arrows I put some Washi Tape on scraps of white cardstock, then used a banner die to cut it out, and then cut the one end to create my arrow. At least that is what they look like to me.

Here is what the card looks like closed ...

My design is based on the Seems A Little Sketchy Challenge #59, which I flipped and then added gumdots to the corner instead of adding a banner.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Things are heating up ...

Hey there. Just popping in to share a card I created yesterday for the FTHS Stamp of the Month Challenge and Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #125.

This absolutely awesome image from FTHS is called Birthday Candle Birdbrain which I got for FREE at the beginning of the month. There are soooo many COOL Sentiments that come with this awesome Birdbrain! I used my trusty Copic Markers to color Birdbrain, and added some sparkle to the candle with a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen.

Here is a look at the inside ...

Now for a look at the  Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #125 ...

I will be sending this one off to my nephew for his birthday. Hope you like how I combined the challenges.

Girl in the Bubble ...

Good morning! I'm popping in for an extra day this month to host the Artbymiran Blog! Today I'm sharing a Birthday card that I created with the lovely Girl in the Bubble!

I printed two copies of this beauty, colored one copy with my Copic Markers and fussy cut out all of the bubbles. I applied Distress Ink to the other copy, and paper-pieced the bubbles. My design was inspired by Dana's card that I saw over at the DeNami Designs Blog this week. I love how she had a partial front on her card, and felt it was perfect for the lovely Girl in the Bubble.

Here are a couple other photo's that show the card being opened ...

This card was designed for my niece's 21st Birthday!

Hippie Chick Peace ...

Good morning again. This is my second post today. Please scroll down for my Your Next Stamp FUN Friday Challenge Post.

I'm over on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog today sharing a card I created with the lovely Hippie Chick from the Marika Collins Collection.

Hippie Chick is one of the new Digital Stamps Released this month, and I had an awesome time creating this Peace card with her. When I saw the image I knew that I would do some paper-piecing with her arms, legs and sunglasses. So I printed several images and proceeded to color her with Copic Markers and Chalk Pencils, and then fussy cut her out. To put her back together I used a tape runner on the bottom portion of the arms and legs, and 3D Foam tape for the top portion. This raises the hands and knees.

Here is a closer look and side view of Hippie Chick ...

My design is based on the Seems A Little Sketchy Challenge #58.

I'm also entering today's into the MarkerPOP Biweekly Challenge #37 - Anything Goes.

For You ...

Good morning! Its my turn to host the Artbymiran Blog! Today I'm sharing a card that I created with the lovely Happy Mail!

I colored this beauty with Copic Markers, fussy cut her out and placed her on the mat that I applied Distress Ink to, and layered her on my design. When I first saw Happy Mail she just brought a huge smile to my face, and I knew I wanted to create with her.

My design is based on the DeConstructed Sketch #138.

I just realized that I didn't add the little flag in the upper right hand corner. Hoping my card still qualifies! :o)

I'm also entering today's card into the MarkerPOP Biweekly Challenge #37 ~ Anything Goes.

Love to Create Challenge #103 ...

Good morning! It's Monday morning, a holiday here in the US so I'll be hanging with my girl all day. I also have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you today.

We have two (2) New Sponsors for this weeks Challenge!

Sami Stamps
Flourish with Bling

This lovely image is from Stami Stamps called I Look Stunning. When I saw this image I just had to request her ... what mother doesn't look stunning while baking for a loved one with her little girl hanging on her leg. Copic Markers were used to color this beauty, distress ink was applied around the edges, and liquid pearls was applied to the wooden spoon and drippings.

The beautiful red flourish behind the image is from Flourish with Bling and it's called Jasmine Laser Flourish, Red. I used my scissors to cut the flourish to fit my design. The sentiment is a SRM Fancy Sticker, which I was a perfect match for the lovely image!

The rest of the designers created some truly amazing projects to inspire you this week so make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check them out, and then I hope you share your project with us!

Whimsy February Challenge ~ Love is in the Air ...

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day to all of you! Today I have a NEW Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenge to share with you!

The "Theme" for this months
is
Love is in the Air!

My card features the lovely Alannah & Snowball by StampArt Design by Kathryne, and one of the sentiment in the Snow Hug Sentiments. Both of these items stamps were released on February 1st. I truly love all things Alannah so I couldn't resist making a "Love is in the Air" card featuring her. Especially since the snow just doesn't want  to leave us in Northern Illinois.

Alannah was colored with my Copic Markers with the addition of some Chalk Pencils, Distress Ink was used for the sky, and Stickles was added to represent the snow. Once I decided on my papers and design, I layered all of the pieces together and popped up the sentiment and hearts I cut out with my Classic Hearts Nestabilities Die.

Head on over to Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Challenges for all the details on how to join in the FUN, and check what the other designers created to inspire you.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

The Gem Swirls are from Forever in Time, and the Heart & Sentiment was created with my Silhouette Portrait. I play around with it when I can. I still have a lot to learn. One was cut onto Vinyl and the other on paper.

My second card features Annie mit Blumen from Encino Stamps. She was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut out to add to my background that I created with a Stencil and Distress Inks. I've had the tree stencil for a couple months now, and decided it was time to use it. My design was inspired by this weeks Sketchy Saturday Challenge #296.

Valentines Day is coming up quick so I decided to make some Mini Takeout Valentines Treat Boxes. The first step was to cut out some Mini Takeout Boxes with my Memory Box die. I stamped the curved polka dots from the Retro Borders 1 Cling Stamp Set (CL BD002), the polka dots open heart from the Hearts Stamp Set (PF43), and the sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp Set (PF48) in Memento Love Letter ink. Once I put the Takeout Box together with 1/4" Scor-Tape, Maraschino Twine from The Twinery was added for the handle, and Festive Berries Distress Ink was applied to the edges with a dauber. Fill them up with some Hershey Kisses and they are ready to be handed out!

These were super FUN to make! Here is another angle of the Takeout Boxes.
