YNS May Digital Release + more ...

Welcome to the May YNS Digital Release Blog Hop!

We are so happy to have you join us this month.

We have several ADORABLE new Digital images being release TODAY
in the YNS Store and a BIG SURPRISE!!!

** Some NEW STAMP SETS **

made with the same super CUTE characters so hop along with us
to get a peek at these new cuties by Omnia Designs!
You won't want to miss this!!

I'm happy and excited to kick off the hop this month, and you are truly in for a real treat.
Make sure you leave comments on all of the DT blogs, because each blog

will be giving away some digital stamps to some lucky Winners!!!

The winners will be announced on May 4th on the YNS Blog.

I got to work with one of the New Clearly YNS Stamp Sets
called Tobi with Rose by Omnia Design.

I have always wanted to try decorating a candle with my Digital stamps, but I'm afraid to ruin my printer by running tissue paper thru it. So I was super excited to get the chance to work with the NEW Tobi with Rose stamp set.

I stamped Tobi with Rose 2x's on tissue paper and colored them in with my Copic Markers. I also stamped 1 of the 4 sentiments that comes with the image several times, and put them around the top of the candle with YNS Strawberry Gum Drops between them.

Here are several different views of the candle.

I used an unscented candle so that my daughter, Katie,
could give my creation to her Grandmother for Mother's Day.

This Stamping on Candles tutorial at Splitcoaststampers was a tremendous help to me.

Here is a closer look at the coordinating card I made.

Just for you we have a special sale going on at YNS too!

Thank you for hopping with us this month; just click on Bonnie's picture below to continue on the hop and see her beautiful project.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Springtime ...

Hey there. Just popping in to share a card I created this weekend for the FTHS April Stamp of the Month Challenge and Poppy Sketch #2.

This lovely Springtime image from FTHS is called Spring Medley which I got for FREE at the beginning of the month. Copic Markers were used to color the image and I paper-pieced the flowers. Once the image was matted on Intense Teal cardstock I then layered it on my Soft Stone (grey) cardstock that was embossed with my Papertry Ink Linen Impression Plate. Add in doodles around the edges, and the finishing touch was the adorable ladybug sticker.

Here is a closer look at the stamp ...

Copics: R22, R24, R27, R29, R39, R59, R89, YG17, YG23, YG25, C00

Lovely Flapper 1920's Girl ...

Good morning! It's Monday morning and I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you.

Our Sponsor for this weeks Challenge is Artbymiran.

When I saw the theme for this weeks challenge I just had to use the Lovely Flapper 1920's Girl for this card. She just screams Monochromatic and Vintage to me. Since I was going for Vintage I used non-traditional colors for her skin, and I truly love how she looks. Think I'll have to use the Copic Markers "W" family for skin again in the near future. Lovely Flapper 1920's Girl was matted on Soft Stone cardstock, and layered on top of the background I created with DP, Ribbon, and Rhinestones.

The rest of the designers created some truly amazing projects to inspire you this week so make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check them out, and then I hope you share your project with us!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

The birthday sentiment is one of many stamps you will find in the Clearly Whimsy Simple Sentiments Stamp Set (CWSA100). I added a lovely purple butterfly with a blingy trail to add a little something to my card.

for some bunny special ...

Good morning and Happy Friday! I have a new card to inspire you to play along with our YNS April FUN Friday Challenge.

I just absolutely love this new image called Gathering Bunnies. The little girl is so adorable and the bunnies just bring a smile to my face. Copic Markers were used for coloring the image. I also paper-pieced the bunny holding the flower. The sentiment is from my stash, and YNS Gumdrops were added in the corners.

This card was sent to my Great-Niece Zoe who just turned 2, along with an Easter coloring book yesterday. I'm hoping it brings a big smile to her face.

My card was inspired by this months YNS April Inspirational Photo.

Aurora Wings Part 2 ...

Aurora Wings ...

Good evening! Well Katie is done with school and I didn't shed any tears at her "Exit/Birthday Party" last week. Seeing her face glow with happiness just made my heart happy! My crafting time will be limited to when she is at our local Day Program 3-days a week. That being said I had time to create with a couple of images that I colored recently. Each card was made for a challenge or two, but I decided to create only one post to share them. So here goes ...

Last month I joined Kit and Clouder, and participated in the the Live Color Along with Alyce back on February 23rd. The image used for the Color Along is the beautiful Elven Princess by Aurora Wings. I can honestly say my first attempt wasn't looking that great so I stopped coloring and just watched Alyce. That was a experience on its own. The Color Along is taped so it will always be out there for me to refer back to.

A couple of nights ago I decided to give the image another try. I switched the colors used for the flowers and background, but still love how it turned out. I try to stay away from intricate images as they are always a challenge for me, but this time I took on the challenge and actually enjoyed it. My design was inspired by the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Sketch Challenge #202.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges ...
 - Aurora Wings Challenge #1 ~ Anything Goes
 - Aurora Wings Facebook April 2014 Contest ~ Birthday Cards or Cards with Sentiments
 - Sunday Sketch & Stamp Sketch Challenge #202 (shown below)

Thinking of You ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Artbymiran Blog today and the card I created features the adorable Digital Stamp called Spring Blush!

Spring Blush is such an adorable image, and I had so much FUN coloring her with my Copic Markers. She looks like she's thinking seriously about something and that is why I went with the "Thinking of You" sentiment.

My life began ...

Good morning. Today is a BIG day in our house. My daughter, Katie, is attending her final day of school. Since this is a BIG event in a Special Needs young adults' life her teacher is throwing a party to send her off in style. My husband and I, her grandparents, along with her brother and sister-in-law will be joining the festivities. I'm ready for the change, but I am truly going to miss all of the support that comes from being a part of the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) during the past 19-years.

Enough of that ... today I'm over on the Sunflowerfield Blog sharing a card I created with the NEW lovely Sunflowerfield Pregnant Visnja Digital Stamp.

This beauty was a joy to color, and I love that it comes with the beautiful sentiment. Distress ink was applied to add the sky to the image and sentiment. The coloring happened prior to choosing my design paper so I was happy to find the perfect papers in my stash.

Today's card was inspired by the current Sunflowerfields Challenge ~ Easter/Spring, and a very old Operation Write Home Sketch (OWH #157 - shown below). The two just fit together perfectly.

Wish me luck today (hoping the tears don't flow). I'm looking forward to celebrating with Katie's peers and the staff, along with our family.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

I recently learned to make this awesome Gift Card Holders at a Workshop, and decided to make one using the adorable NEW Baby Giraffe from Miss Rach's Digital Collection. Copic Markers were used to color this beauty.

Here is what it looks like open  ...

The sentiment comes from the Welcome Baby Sentiments Rubber Stamp Set that is part of the Rainbow Echo Designs Collection at Whimsy Stamps. Excuse the Panera gift card ... it was the only one I had on hand to put into the Gift Card Holder for taking my picture.

You're a Hit! ...

Good morning! It's Monday morning and I have a NEW Love to Create Challenge to share with you.

Our Sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps

This adorable girl is called Ava Baseball. Copic Markers were used to color the adorable image, and I used a White Gelly Roll Pen to add the polka dots to her dress. I decided Ava would be perfect to make a FUN bookmark so I created a bench/wall for her to sit on, applied distress ink to the white bookmark, and added the sentiment along the bottom that I found in my Unity Itty Bitty stamps.

The rest of the designers created some truly amazing projects to inspire you this week so make sure you hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check them out, and then I hope you share your project with us!

Some Happy News to Share ...

Good morning. If you're a regular here you may have noticed a new Badge on my sidebar. I'm excited to share with you that I am going to be a Guest Designer for Sunflowerfield Designs for the next 3 months ~ April, May & June.

So today I'm sharing my first project featuring the Flowery Easter Package Digital Stamp by Sunflowerfield Designs for the New Sunflowerfield Monthly Challenge.

This months Theme is all about Easter or Spring.

I decided to try my hand at a Vintage European Design for the Flowery Easter Package Digital Stamp. I colored the beautiful Package with my Copic Markers, added some Liquid Pearls to the center of the yellow flowers, and paper-pieced the ribbon. I layered the beautiful package on an oval diecut, and popped it on my design of MME DP, that I applied distress ink around the edges, pearls, and sentiment.

Hop on over to the Sunflowerfield Blog for all the details about the Challenge, and to see the other lovely projects created to inspire you.

Good morning and Happy Friday! It's the first Friday of the month, that means it's time for a NEW YNS FUN Friday Challenge.

I just absolutely love this new image called Two Cute Rabbits. I had an awesome time coloring this adorable image with my Copic Markers. That being said I'm not 100% happy with the cardstock I used for my design. The sentiment is part of the YNS Mini Greeting (clear set).

My card was inspired by this months YNS April Sketch.

All Aboard ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Artbymiran Blog today and the card I created features the adorable Digital Stamp called All Aboard!

All Aboard is such an adorable image, and I had so much FUN coloring her with my Copic Markers. Some fussy cutting was done to create a 3D effect with Mini Glue Dots and 3D Foam Squares, which you can see below.

My design was inspired by two (2) different Challenges ... Splitcoaststampers Sketch #481 (SC481) and CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #130 ~ Good Egg (use ovals in your design). Both of these challenges just paired up perfectly for this adorable image that I just had to create a card for them.
