Congrats ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog today.

This lovely lady is called College Chic Angelica. I have a niece who will be finishing her Jr. College courses and heading off to finish her schooling at University. I knew this lovely lady would be perfect to create a card for her. I'm early in finishing the card, but I prefer it that way.

Copic Markers were used to color College Chic Angelica, and fussy cut her out. My design was inspired by the CAS(E) this Sketch #108. I used my MFT Hz Stitched Strips to create the stripes for and as a backdrop for the lovely image. The sentiment is from one of the new DeNami Monster Celebration clear stamps.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20 (skin); Y21, Y23, YR24, YR27 & E09 (hair)

Good morning and Happy Friday! Sami Stamps has a super CUTE New Release today titled Poodle Fun!

This adorable pup is called Poodle for You! I have to be honest in saying I struggled a bit in how to color this adorable poodle.  After about 5 tries I finally was happy with my coloring. I fussy cut out the image so I could add some dimension to the image.

Copic Markers were my medium for coloring, and my design was inspired by this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #171.

Fairy Love ...

Good afternoon! I'm hosting the Art by Miran Blog today. Our "Theme" this month is Three (3) of One (1) Item.

This beauty is called Fairy Shaylee, and she is one of the many Digital Stamps available in the Art by Miran Etsy Store. This is the first image I colored after not touching my Copic Markers for over 2-weeks during the holidays. I have to admit, I printed several copies until I remembered how to color. :-)

I used a large variety of Copic Markers, and forgot to keep track of them. I also used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on Shaylee's Wings, and added Buttercup Liquid Pearls to the flowers. My "Three of One Item" are the enamel dots.

We would love for you to become a follower of the Art by Miran Blog and Artbymiran FB Page, along with visiting our shop to see all of the wonderful images Art by Miran has to offer. All My Love ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog today with a card that is perfect for that special someone in your life.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and the All My Love Sentiment Ticket is just perfect! You can do as I did, create a background and have the sentiment be the focal point OR you can match the sentiment with a sweet image. There are many options in the Inky Impressions Store, however, two of the newest ones caught my eye ... LiLi Blowing Bubbles (hearts) and Niko's Cookie (heart shaped).

I printed several copies of the sentiment, and fussy cut them out. I thought about how I would showcase the sentiment. I then went into my dies and found a new die from MFT called Floral Fusion CU that I haven't had a chance to use yet. Cut it out in white and layered it onto my cherry red cardstock. I then put the sentiment tickets through my Xyrox Sticker Maker and layered them onto more cherry red cardstock; centering them. My final step was to add some lines to the sentiment ticket using a ruler and my 0.3 Black Copic MultiLiner, colored half of the lines in red with another MultiLiner, ran it thru my Xyrox and layered it over the center sentiment.

Make sure you Hop on over to the Inky Impressions Store to check out all of the awesome images available.

Sami Stamps Floral Brides Take 2 ...

Good morning and Happy Friday. Sami Stamps Released a collection of absolutely gorgeous Floral Brides last week. I just couldn't create a project with just one of them, so this week I have another Bride to share with you!

This beautiful stamp is called Lily Bride. I printed her twice, and used my trusty Copic Markers along with a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen to color one of the images. Once complete she was fussy cut out (without her veil), and paper-pieced on the second copy that was embossed with my Linen & Canvas Impression Plate from Papertry Ink. I added a SRM Sticker Sentiment and some Enamel Dots to finish my card.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20, BV20, BV23 (skin)
W3, W5, W7, W9 (hair), E01, YG03 (flowers)

Keep Calm and Drink Coffee ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Inky Impressions Inspirational Blog today with a card that is perfect for the "coffee lover" in your life.

I'm not a coffee drinker myself, more of a Coca-Cola drinker first thing in the morning. However, I do know a lot of people who require a cup of coffee (or more than 1-cup) to start their day. The newly released Keep Calm and Drink Coffee Sentiment from Inky Impressions is perfect for those coffee lovers in your life.

After printing the sentiment, I fussy cut it out and colored the frame with my Black 0.5 Copic Multi-Liner, and then colored in the coffee mug with E51, E53 & E55. Popped the sentiment on my cardstock with part of a 3D Foam Sheet, and added some enamel dots in the corners. Love the CAS design!

Good morning and Happy Friday! It's the 1st Release of 2015 from Sami Stamps, and you just have to see the beautiful Floral Brides!

I colored up four (4) copies of the beautiful Single Lily Bride, and couldn't decide on which one to use for today's project. So I went outside my comfort zone and created a shadow box to feature all 4 of the colored beauties. I'm calling it my Bridal Shop Shadow Box.

Inky Impressions January Release ...

Good morning all! There is a new Release over at Inky Impressions today, and it is "Awesome"!

I had so much fun creating today's card featuring Mamaw's Teatime and Keep Calm Coffee Time Ticket Sentiment. Copic Markers were used for coloring, and I did quite a bit of paper-piecing. I created the wood floor with a Copic Multi-liner and ruler. Then colored the floor with Copic Markers, and applied some Colorless Blender to a paper towel and swiped it across the floor. Really love how it turned out. I added a baseboard to separate the floor from the wall. Before I put it all together I showed my husband, and he proceeded to tell me that no granny was going to sit without a rug under her feet. So I added a rug under the front of her chair.

I hope you hop on over to Inky Impressions Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the Designer's created with the New Release, and don't forget to pick up some of the new images in the Inky Impressions Store.

Art by Miran Birthday Celebration ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Art by Miran Blog today. This month we are Celebrating the 1-Year Anniversary of the Art by Miran Blog! Lots of FUN going on!

Each of the Designer's have created a NEW project featuring the 1st image they used for their 1st Art by Miran project! For me that would be the lovely Catching Hearts digital stamp, and my project was featured on January 1, 2014 which was the Official Opening of the Art by Miran Blog

For today's project I once again pulled out the Catching Hearts digital stamp.

Copic Markers were used to color this beauty. I used several stencils and my Gelatos to create the clouds and hearts background, and grass. My design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch #237.

Here are the cards side-by-side ...

It was fun seeing how much my coloring has improved in just 1-year.

Sami Stamps Challenge #21 ...

Good morning and Happy Friday! Due to the holiday's Release Week has been postponed. However, we do have a NEW Challenge that starts today over at Sami Stamps.

Since there isn't a release this week, the Designer's were able to request an image to work with. It was hard just to choose one, but I managed. :-D

This beautiful stamp is called A Flower for Me which you can find under the Love and Romance Section in the Store. Before coloring this beauty, I stamped flowers on her dress using post-it-notes for masking the areas I didn't want stamped. Once done the image was fussy cut out and layered onto another printed image where I created the sky and grass with distress ink. My glitter is a little hard to see, but it was applied to all of the flowers and then the heart in the sentiment.

Copics: E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20 (skin); E21, E23, E25, E29 (hair)
B00, B01, B02, B04, B06, B26, B28, YR28, Y35, Y38 (outfit)
N0, N2, N3, N5 (puppy)
