Papertry Ink SAF 2015 Red Carpet Challenge ...

Well this is my final post for the Papertry Ink Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015. I really had a blast participating in this event!!! Time has run out for me, as life needs to take the forefront on Monday so I missed a couple of the challenges.

The final challenge is the SAF Red Carpet Challenge ...

This challenge is where we strut our stuff for the final hurrah. So here goes ...

This is my first year participating in the Papertry Inks Project Stamp-A-Faire Event. I created a total of 6-cards, and 4 of the cards were entered into 2-challenges each. This was truly a LOT of fun and a bit challenging at times. However, I'm totally looking forward to seeing what next years Stamp-A-Faire will entail!

Challenges entered ...
 - SAF Red Carpet Challenge

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all of my projects as much as I've enjoyed creating them!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Papertry Ink SAF 2015 Runway Inspiration Challenge ...

Time for another project for the Papertry Ink Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015
Next up is the SAF Runway Inspiration Challenge ...

There are eight different Runway Inspiration Challenge for this theme, and I chose Betty Vellman's colors.

Here is my interpretation ...

The DP I used is from the Mood Mix DP and the Fashion Sense Stamp Set which is part of the Stamp-A-Fair Kit. I stamped the image and sentiment on my white cardstock, stamped the dress onto the DP, fussy cut out the dress, and paper pieced the dress using 3D foam squares. Once I layered all of the pieces together I stamped the star stamps with Enchanted Evening Dye Ink and Memento Summer Sky.

My design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #284.

Here's a closer look at the Fashion lady ...

I went with this challenge because of the lovely DP, and of course there are only 3 colors required for this challenge.

Papertry Ink SAF 2015 Pins + Needles Challenge ...

Time for another project for the Papertry Ink Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015

There are three different Challenges for this theme, and I went with the Stamped + Stitched by Heather Nichols. I decided to choose one of the Go-to-Card Patterns to work with for this challenge.

Here is my interpretation ...

The DP I used is from the Mood Mix DP and the Stamped Stitched Stamp Set came with my Stamp-A-Faire kit. I double stamped the flower in Hibiscus Burst Die Ink, then masked the flowers so I could stamp the stitched square and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. I inked the edges with the Hibiscus Burst Die Ink and added a couple of star bursts to the center design, layered it on black cardstock and added some pearls to the center. I also stamped some stitches and star bursts on the DP.

Here's a closer look at the stamped stitches ...

I went with this challenge since I already entered one for the Stick Pins, and I don't sew on my cards. I love having stitched stamps to work with to create faux stitching.

Papertry Ink SAF 2015 Mix + Match Challenge ...

Time for another project for the Papertry Ink Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015
Next up is the SAF 2015 Mix + Match Challenge ...

There are two different Challenges, and I went with the Mixing Patterns by Betsy Veldman. I decided to choose one of the Go-to-Card Patterns to work with for this challenge.

Here is my interpretation ...

The DP I used is from the Mood Mix DP that came with my Stamp-A-Faire kit. The sentiment is one of many from the Scripted Stamp Set. I pulled out my Memory Box Pippie Butterfly and some bright paper from my scrap pile. The final touch was to add some Want2Scrap Black Rhinestones.

Here's a closer look at the mix of DP ...

I went with this challenge because it took me out of my comfort zone. I truly love how the card turned out, and I guess I'll have to give it a go again by mixing DP more in the future.

Papertry Ink SAF 2015 Threads Challenge ...

Time for another project for the Papertry Ink Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015
Next up is the SAF 2015 Threads Challenge ...

There are two different Threads Challenges, and I went with the Thread Nests Challenge by Lauren Bassen.

The back-splash for my card was created by sponging Harvest Gold and Orange Zest Die Ink onto Stamper's Select White cardstock. I then sponged Fine Linen and Dark Chocolate Die Ink onto another piece, and used the Cover Plate; Triangles Die to cut out the design. I cut extra pieces of the die to get the dimension, and adhered it to my back-splash.

Next up is the Thread Nest. I've seen this technique in a lot of cards lately so that's one of the reasons I wanted to try it. I used plain white thread for my nest, and added the Wonderful Words: Thank You Die for my sentiment. Once again I cut extra pieces of the die to get the dimension. Once all was put together I added some White Opal Liquid Pearls around the sentiment.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment and Thread Nest ...

I truly enjoyed watching Lauren's video and had a blast creating my card for this challenge.

 - Ruby's Rainbow Challenge #111 ~ Diecuts or Punches

Papertry Ink SAF 2015 Patterns Challenge ...

Time for another project for the Papertry Ink Project Stamp-A-Faire 2015
Next up is the SAF 2015 Patterns Challenge ...

The Challenge is to use on of the Go-To Card Patterns provided with my Stamp-A-Faire package, and the Go-To-Card Patterns are also available in PDF format here. I went with #5 from Heather Nichols.

Here is my take ...

I used one of the Mood Mix Pattern Paper for the side of my card. The design was created with two of the flowers in the Vintage Linens stamp set. I used Fine Linen and Dark Chocolate Dye Ink to stamp the flowers. I created the sentiment with the Wonderful Words Thank You Die and one of the sentiments from the coordinating Wonderful Words Thanks You stamp set. The sentiment was stamped with Orange Zest Dye Ink.

Here's a closer look at the sentiment ...

I actually cut out 3 copies of the die and layered them together, and then I cut the sentiment into 2 pieces.

Once done with the background I added some Silky Crush Ribbon from my stash and added a couple stick pins, and then layered on my cardbase.

Happy Summer Days ...

Good morning! I'm hosting the Great Impressions Blog today featuring the Summer Days (D354) sentiment and Surf Boards (F476) stamps.

I did something a little different for this weeks project. First my card is 5" x 7-1/2". Second, my medium for coloring the images are watercolor markers, distress ink, gelatos, and a paint brush with water.

To start I colored the stamps with markers and stamped the images, and then I used a paint brush and water to move the ink around to get the watercolor look. I then put some colors on a palette and used a paint brush and water to create the shading around the images.

My design was inspired by the Sweet Sunday Sketch #283.

Here's another look at the Summer Days (D354) and Surf Boards (F476) stamps before I added them to my card ...

Garden Scene ...

Good morning and Happy Monday! I'm popping in this morning to share a card I made this weekend using some NEW goodies I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo show in Schaumburg, IL on Friday.

While at the show I had the pleasure of watching a very talented lady watercolor a scene at the Art Impressions Booth. I fell in love with the technique and wanted to give it a try, so I picked up several stamp sets, the Ai Watercolor Mini Project Series Accessory Kit, and some LePlume II Markers.

This is the second scene I created with the products I purchased; the first one still needs a little work. I kept thinking about what I saw while at the show, and just started stamping and coloring.

Stamps used for this card are from the following set(s) ... WC EZ Project A (4271), WC Flower Set (4052), and WC Foliage Set 2 (4270).

This was a LOT of fun to create, and I plan on making a set of cards for an awesome lady. However, I think before I start on the set I will watch the How to Watercolor DVD I received from Ai.

I appreciate your stopping by today, and enjoy reading your lovely comments! Hope you have an amazing week.
