Holiday Pocket Letter ...

Good morning and Happy Christmas Eve! Today I'm popping in to share a Holiday Pocket Letter that I created for a House of Cards DT Swap.

I have never created a Pocket Letter, so I did some research to find out what they are. Found some video's on YouTube, and then went in search of the supplies I would need. So here goes ...

My design was inspired by the All Through the House Paper Pad from Papertry Ink. I really love all of the different elements in these papers, and it was so much fun to work with. I did a lot of fussy cutting with all of those adorable Christmas images, added in some die cuts and stickers. I also love that there are pre-made panels that I was able to just slip right into the pocket.

Here is a closer look at each row. Individual pictures were taken of each panel, and they I created a collage for each row.

Putting together the Pocket Letter was really a LOT of FUN! If you haven't made one before you might want to give it a try. :D

As pocket letters go, I added some goodies behind each panel as shown below.

I'm grateful that my Swap Partner really loved my creation.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

5-Yr Blog Anniversary Update ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday all! Just popping in to let you know that all of the Prizes have been mailed out to the respective Winners of my 5-Yr Blog Anniversary as of Monday, December 20th.

I would like take this time to let you know that from this day forward any and all Prizes that I offer for my followers can only be sent out to US Followers. I'm really sorry to say this, but the international shipping costs were a LOT more expensive than I ever expected them to be. I was really saddened at this revelation while I was at the Post Office on Monday. However, since I announced the winners I could not with a good heart draw new winners.

I hope each of you enjoy your Prizes. :D

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Wedding Table Centerpiece ...

Good morning! Today I have a Wedding Table Centerpiece I created for CutCardStock featuring Stardream Metallic CardstockGold Wedding Ring Outline StickersIvory Polyester Satin 1/4" Ribbon, and various dies/punches.

When I saw it was time for me to create a Wedding Project for this month I originally thought about making a Wedding Album, but then I remembered I didn't order any 12" x 12" cardstock. So I did a bit of brainstorming with one of my friends and I loved the idea of creating a Wedding Table Centerpiece, and here it is.

I started with a Pillar Candle and created a decorative edge with Stardream Metallic Lapis Lazuli (Navy) cardstock and a EKS Snowflake Border Punch. Once I adhered the decorative edge to my candle with 1/4" Scor-Tape, I wrapped the Ivory Polyester Satin 1/4" Ribbon around the middle of the decorative edge, tied a bow, and added the Gold Wedding Ring Outline Stickers above the wrap.

I then scattered Chunky Gold Glitter on the glass, put down some Stardream Metallic Emerald Vines which I cut out with a die, and put the candle in the center. I then added the Stardream Metallic Jupiter (Red) and Stardream Rose Quartz (Pink) Roses around the candle, and scattered some Stardream Metallic Quarts (Off White) Snowflakes in the mix.

All of the Stardream Metallic Cardstock is 10% off as part of the Holiday Sale going on right now, and make sure you check out the NEW 6" x6" Cardstock Paper Pads that we now carry!

Oh By Golly Elegant Berries ...

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! I'm sharing another holiday card featuring some of the lovely holiday stamps from Great Impressions Stamps.

Today's card focuses on the Elegant Berry Branch (J120) as it draws your eye to the Oh By Golly Sentiment (E883). I really love the Berry Branch. Especially how versatile the stamp is ... it can stand alone or be used to create a background. Distress ink was applied with a dauber, once all the images were stamped, to create the sky. Xmas Red Stickles was applied to all of the berry.

I colored in the Holly on the sentiment, and a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on the branches to add some a bit of snow.

Good Morning. Its day 4 of the MHK Designs Digital Stamps December Release, and I have a friendship card to share.

My card features one of the images and sentiments from the Wheely Like You Stamp Set. After printing the bicycle and sentiment, I cut them down to the size I wanted. Marvey Markers were used to color the image, and a variety of distress inks were used for the background. I also applied distress ink around the edges of the sentiment and DP I used. The DP was a birthday present from one of my crafty friends which I thought were perfect to create this vintage design.

Holiday Gift Box ...

Good morning! I altered a box for Holiday Gift Giving for the CutCardStock Holiday Countdown Series.

I love saving boxes to alter them, and today's project was quick an easy to do. I only used cardstock, my scoreboard, a Snowflake punch, Wreath/Sentiment die, Stickles, Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue, 1/4" Scor-Tape, and ribbon from my stash.

The bottom of the box features Silk Glitter Sparkling Water (Aqua) 12x12 cardstock, and I used the Stardream Metallic Antique Gold cardstock for the top. Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue was used to adhere the cardstock to my box. I really love the combination together.

The edging was created with Stardream Metallic Crystal (White) cardstock and a Snowflake Punch from EKS, which I adhered with 1/4" Scor-Tape to make sure I didn't move it after applying it to the lid. I added a bit of ribbon from my stash above the punched border and applied it with 1/4" Scor-Tape.

I used the Wreath Die with Stardream Metallic Emerald, and the Sentiment was used with Stardream Metallic Quartz (Off-White) cardstock. After cutting both out I used the Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue to add them to the cover, and applied Xmas Red Stickles to represent berries on the wreath.

Once done, I used some ribbon I received from a swap to tie up my packaging.

All of the Stardream Metallic cardstock is 10% off as part of the Sale going on right now, and we don't forget to check out the 6x6 Assorted Cardstock Paper Pads that we now carry!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Watercolor Snowy Trees ...

Good morning! We have a new Challenge starting today over at the Great Impressions Blog. This months challenge is called "Anything Goes".

For today's card I decided to do some water-coloring so I pulled out the Snowy Trees (J71) and got to work. Using Marvey LePlume markers I stamped the image on Stathmore Watercolor Paper, and then used a paint brush to apply my water. I then added more color to a palette and proceeded to color in the ground and sky background.

Make sure you head on over to the Great Impressions Challenge Blog to see what the other Designer's created, and for all of the details on how you can WIN this lovely collection of Great Impressions Stamps! If you use our Great Impressions Stamps remember to link them up in our Customer Gallery.

5-Yr Blog Anniversary Candy ...

Good morning! As I mentioned on Tuesday it has been 5-Years since I started my Blog. So I decided to host a little party and hand out some goodies/prizes!!!

First, there a couple of Rules you NEED to follow to qualify for 1 of the 5 prizes shown below!
1 - Be a Follower of My Blog. That means I need to see your picture in the "Followers" section in the right hand column (scroll down).
2 - Share my Blog Anniversary Badge (shown on the left) on your own Blog and link back to this post.
3 - Link your Blog in the Inklinz shown below.
4 - Leave me a comment telling me that you have followed all of the Rules, let me know where you are located, and provide your email address.

Whew! That's a LOT of Rules I know, but I need to be fair to all of my followers when distributing these prizes. As you can see from the Badge above there are a LOT of Prizes, and I have split the items into 5-Packages/Prizes.

Okay, so let's get the Party started ...

All of the items shown above are NEW Never Before Used items. Some have been purchased specifically for this Party, and others are items I've purchased and never used.

Please make sure that you have followed the Rules as I will be checking to make it fair to everyone.
