Puppy Love ...

Good afternoon. Today I'm bringing you some inspiration for Rubberneckers Stamps Challenge #2 ~ All about "LOVE"!

My card features the adorable Pup (895-09) from Rubbernecker Stamps. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him in with my Copic Markers. Instead of adding a sentiment on my card I pulled out Carta Bella Devoted DP to create a background featuring hearts, hugs and kisses (X O) along with red cardstock. I then added SRM Black Stitched Stickers before adding the adorable Pup. To add a little FUN to my card I gave the Pup some googly eyes.

Challenges entered:
 - Simon Monday Challenge ~ Simon Says Pets Corner
 - Use Your Stuff Challenge ~ Animal Theme
(last of Carta Bella DP that I've been holding onto)
 - Come and Get it Challenge ~ 3 or more layers

I hope you take a moment stop by the Rubbernecker Blog for all of the details, and I hope you join in the FUN!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Party Ducks Celebrate ...

Good morning! After taking a week off, I'm back sharing a birthday card that was inspired by a recent Freshly Made Sketch (shown below).

I absolutely love the adorable Party Ducks from Great Impressions Stamps, and couldn't wait to play with them. I stamped the Party Ducks with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copic Markers, applied distres ink for the ground cover and sky, and then cut out the panel with the balloon flying above. I layered the colored panel on blue cardstock, and then added it to my grey cardbase. The Celebrate Sentiment is one of the retired stamps by Great Impressions.

Challenges entered:
 - Simon Wednesday Challenge ~ Anything Goes
 - Send A Smile 4 Kids ~ Anything Goes
 - Allsorts Challenge Week 400 ~ Let's Celebrate

Coffee Journal ...

Good afternoon. I have a friend who asks me to make her stuff for her new business venture, and her this new business is all about Coffee. So today's share is one of the Coffee Journals I made that features stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

I picked up several of these 5-1/2" x 7-3/4" Spiral Bound Books from Walmart, in the school supply section. I really like this version because it has a clear cover on the front and back, plus the lovely elastic closure.

The first thing I did was covered the journal with black cardstock. On white cardstock I stamped only the coffee images from the Coffee & Tea Inchies Stamp Set (424) using Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I cut the panel down, and applied various Tim Holtz Distress Inks over my panel with a dauber. This was layered on the black cardstock. I then pulled out my Letter Board Die to make my Coffee Journal title. Each letter was run thru my Xyron Sticker Maker, and added to my cover.

Here is the Coffee Journal with the clear cover closed.

Happy Birthday Wishes ...

Good afternoon. Today I have a Masculine Birthday card to share with you that features stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

Yesterday's card was very feminine so for today I went masculine using the Birthday Wishes Circle Sentiment (565-20), one of the stamps in the Birthday Border Set (438), and design paper.

Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I stamped the sentiment and cupcakes on white cardstock. The sentiment was cut out with my Nestabilities Circle Die while the cupcakes were colored with Marvy Markers and fussy cut. I went with a clean design utilizing the stamps, design paper, stamps, scalloped punch, dies and twine.

Here's a closer look the tiny cupcakes ...

Happy Birthday ...

Good afternoon. Today is the start of a NEW Challenge over at the Rubbernecker Stamps Inspiratoin & Challenge Blog! Super excited to be a part of this NEW Venture. To start Challenge #1 is all about Birthday's so I created an adorable Birthday card to share with you today.

My card features the simply adorable Tara (891-09) who I paired up with on the sentiments in the Birthday Border Set (438).

Tara was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored with Copic Markers. I used my MFT Pierced Square STAX dies to cut out the image, and pink panel behind. Next, I stamped a couple extra Tara's to paper-piece the present and shoes for dimension. I love the combination of pink/teal so I pulled out my MME Happy Day DP and some teal cardstock for the today's card. I used my Memory Box Sketchy Rings Die with the teal cardstock, and it's popping out behind the squares in my design.

The birthday sentiment is also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and then I colored in the letters with the same markers I used for coloring Tara. This was matted onto pink cardstock. Once all of the pieces were done, I layered them on my background with the final touch of adding teal-colored enamel dots to the corners.

May all your wishes ...

Good morning! Today's card focus is the adorable Happy Toons which I paired up with the Wishes & Sparkles Sentiment. This card was made for a friends father who turns 80 today. My daughter adores him and will be sending off this card with lots of love.

I colored the image with my Copic Markers, fussy cut him out and put him on the side. To add a little dimension to the adorable mouse I stamped him a couple more times so that I could paper-piece the shirt, bow-tie and hat. The sentiment was stamped on to light blue cardstock, layered onto more blue cardstock, and then on my white base and blue card. Tim Holtz Distress Ink was applied for the sky and ground cover before I added the mouse using 3D Foam Squares. Blue Stickles was applied to the birthday hat and the center of the bow. I finished the card with the "Dropping In to wish you a Very Happy Birthday" on the inside.

 - Aud Sentiment Challenge #171 ~ Anything Goes + A Sentiment

Good morning! Today's card focus is this cool Park Bench (G493) which I paired up with the Beautiful Life Sentiment (B205). This pairing is beautiful for a sympathy card, so I chose an A-1 cardbase. Mind you, I love the pairing and it was not made because of a loss.

I colored the image with my Copic Markers. Tim Holtz Distress Ink was applied for the sky and grass, and around the edges of the sentiment. Since I couldn't find my silver pen I used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen for the bench brackets to give it a silver look. I layered my colored panel on brown cardstock, and then my cardbase.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

LOVE ...

Good afternoon. Today I have a Masculine Valentines Day card to share with you that features stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

When I saw this adorable Gator (895-08) I knew that he was a must have. Before stamping the Gator, I stamped the All You Need Sentiment (804-01), created a mask of the sentiment, and then stamped the Gator. Copic Markers were used to color the image, and then I applied a variety of distress inks to create the sky and ground cover.

Since I was going for a masculine feel I pulled out the Fancy Pants Swagger DP from my stash, to create the layered background. I also added some twine, and the final add was a green heart enamel dot from MME.

A New Baby ...

Good afternoon. I'm back again to share a sweet card to welcome a new Baby featuring stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps!

To start I stamped the adorable Baby Bear (633-03) a couple of times, colored him/her with my Copic Markers, and did a bit of fussy cutting. I applied distress ink to the bottom layer of the bear panel, and paper-pieced him/her back together.

For the background I pulled out the Random Distress (683) background stamp along with two different colors of pink ink. I stamped the background with one color, and then added the second color around the edges. This was added to the base card for my distressed background. I then pulled out some pink design paper with hearts, cut the strips, and layered them on strips of teal cardstock. This was added to my background.

Next up is the A New Baby Sentiment (633-08) which I cut out with a circle die, and applied the distress ink around the edges. I added the sentiment next to the Baby Bear, and popped them on my background with 3D Foam Tape. The final step was to add the enamel dots in the right hand corner. They are dark teal.

To get the fuzzy look on the Baby Bear I added the Copic Cleaning Solution to a bit of burlap and patted the colored image.

We have a weekly CONTEST were you can WIN FREE STAMPS, so make sure you hop on over to the Rubbernecker Blog and leave the designers some love!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

You're so Very Special ...

Good morning! Today's card focus is the adorable Christmas Bird Bath (H289) which I paired up with the So Very Special Sentiment (D500) from Great Impressions Stamps. Instead of making a Christmas card I went for a Winter Love card.

I colored the image with my Copic Markers. After adding the sentiment I free-handed a bubble around the sentiment ... I need more practice doing this. 😆 Tim Holtz Distress Ink was applied around the image, and then I used a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen for the snow, ice-skates, and the bubble. Once complete, I layered the panel on different shades of blue cardstock.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Happy New Year ...

Good afternoon. I'm back again to share a New Year's Day card featuring Rubbernecker Stamps!

My card features the lovely Ellynn (893-07) that I stamped on white cardstock, then masked her off to add the Freehand Frame Small (899-02) three times. One done, I color Ellynn in with my Copic Markers, added distress ink in two of the frames with a dauber, and cut out the panel I created. I added a darker blue distress ink around the edges. Prima Crystals were layered on my cardbase, and my panel was added with 3D Foam Tape.

I'm out of practice coloring hair, but I think it turned out okay. 😉 Glossy Accents was applied to the glass and bubbles above it, Golden Rod Stickles were used to add her earrings, and a Wink of Stella Pen was applied to add some sparkle to her bracelet and eye shadow.

The 2017 was created with number dies which I cut out 3-pieces of each number. For easy layering I applied the Ken Oliver Stick-It adhesive to my cardstock before cutting them out.

On Your Wedding Day ...

Good morning and Happy New Year!

It's the first Sunday of the month and that means it's time for a New Monthly Challenge over at the Great Impressions Blog. This month we have a Color Challenge for you, along with an amazing Prize for the Winner.

My card features the lovely Wedding Bells (F471) and On Your Wedding Day Sentiment (E36). I love the color combination, and think it's perfect for a wedding card.

I stamped the Wedding Bells several times, coloring different sections with my Copic Markers, and then fussy cutting them out. The sentiment was placed under the Wedding Bells on my cardbase, and then I paper-piecing the image together with thin 3D Foam Squares. I added some silver stripes on the bells to add a grey shimmer to them. Final step was to apply Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edge of the card.

The leaves were colored in with light blues and greens, but the rest blues are actually darker in person than as seen in the picture. It's amazing how different the colors look on camera vs. in person.

Here's a side view of the Wedding Bells.

I hope you'll check out our Monthly Challenge, and play along. If you use Great Impressions Stamps make sure you also link up to our Customer Gallery.

Until next time ... Enjoy!
